Increasing Institutional Capacity of Vocational Educational Institutions

PMC Research has launched a new project entitled “Strengthening VET institutions’ capacity in the development of needs-based project ideas and proposals.”

The project aims to train management teams of vocational colleges in the accurate assessment of institutional goals and needs, in order to develop sound project ideas that contribute to the such colleges’ institutional development and to respond to existing market demands.

“VET institutions are facing numerous challenges in Georgia but, fortunately, a number of public agencies and international organizations are ready to support their development. In order to duly take advantage of the existing opportunities, VET institutions need to enhance their capacity in the development of needs-based project ideas and quality proposals,” said Giorgi Khishtovani, Director at PMC Research.

To achieve the project’s goals, the PMC Research team will conduct interviews with regional VET institutions to assess current practices of project idea development and proposal writing. Based on interview findings, the PMC RC team will develop a training curriculum and conduct two cycles of trainings on the development of project ideas and proposals

The project is being conducted with the financial support of the UNDP.
